Searching the Repository

If you enter a search term into the search bar that is present at the top of every server page, your filter settings from the Search Results page do not affect your current search. The universal search uses the following settings by default:

  • Include Subfolders
  • Start at the top-most folder visible to the user
  • Search for reports, report outputs, or other resources
  • Sort alphabetically by name
Searching for Resources
  • Do use word fragments.
  • Do search for the display name or part of the display name of a resource.
  • Do search for words or fragments in the description of a resource.
  • Do use multiple words.
  • Avoid searching for folder names.
  • Avoid entering quotes around terms or symbols between terms.
  • Avoid being concerned with upper- or lower-case letters with search terms.
